RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, a certain Corporation Grant Deed dated the
7th day of October, 1940, from the City of Newport Beach, a
municipal corporation of the sixth class of the State of California,
granting to Orval A. Moore and Mary K. Moore, husband and wife,
as joint tenants with the right of survivorship, all that certain
real property situated in the city of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
Lot 13, Block 14, First Addition to Newport
Heights, as shown on a Map recorded in Book
4, page 94 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California.
Subject to conditions, restrictions and reserva-
tions of record.
Subject to taxes, city and county, for the fiscal
year 1940 -1941, now a lien upon said property, but
not yet due or payable,
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
i California; and
WHEREAS, the consideration for said deed from the
City of Newport Beach to the said Orval A. Moore and Mary K. Moore,
husband and wife, is that certain real property this day deeded
by Orval A. Moore and Mary K. Moore, his wife, to the City of
Newport Beach, and more particularly described as follows, to. -wit:
Lot 4, Block 51, Ocean Front Tract, all
situated in the city of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4, page
12 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California.
Subject to conditions, restrictions and
reservations of record.
Subject to taxes for the fiscal year 1940-
1941.
And, WHEREAS, said two properties above described
are of approximately the same market value; and

WHEREAS, the property this day received from the said
Orval A. Moore and Mary K. Moore, his wife, is more suitable to the
needs of the City of Newport Beach than the .property herein first
above described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said City that
said property first above described be granted to the said Grantees
named, upon the terms and conditions in said deed set forth and the
other valuable considerations herein mentioned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said Grant Deed
in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach and that
the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the Grantees
named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 7th day of October, 1940, by the following
vote, to --wit:
