1 RESOLUTION NO. _

3 WHEREAS, a certain corporation Grant Deed dated the
4 7th day of October, 1940, from the City of Newport Beach, a
5 municipal corporation of the sixth class of the State of
6 California, granting to Howard C. Cloyes and LouisaE. Cloyes,
7 husband and wife, as joint tenants, all that certain real
8 property situated in the city of Newport Beach, County of Oraimge,
9 State of California, and more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Lot 10 in Block 730 of Corona Del
10 Mar, as per map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of
11 Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County, and
those portions of the vacated alleys adjoining said Lot
12 10, described as a whole as follows:
13 Beginning at the intersection of a line parallel
with and distant 14 feet Northeasterly, measured at right
angles, from the southwesterly line of said Lot 10, with
14 the Southwesterly prolongation of the Northwesterly line
of Lot 3 in Block "B" of Tract No. 470, as per map recorded
15 in Book 17, page 28 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said
County; thence Northeasterly along said Southwesterly pro -
16 longation, a distance of 23 feet, more or less, to the center
line of the vacated alley adjoining said Lot 10 on the North.
17 east; thence Southeasterly along said center line, a distance
of 34 feet, more or less, to the intersection thereof with the
18 center line of the vacated alley adjoining said Lot 10 on the
Southeast; thence Southwesterly along said last mentioned
19 center line, a distance of 23 feet, more or less, to the
Southeasterly prolongation of said parallel line; thence
20 Northwesterly along said parallel line and the southeasterly
prolongation thereof, a distance of 34 feet, more or less,
21 to the point of beginning.
22 Subject to reservations and restrictions of record,

24 was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
25 California; and
26 WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport
27 Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said City that
28 said property be granted to said Grantee upon the terms and
29 conditions therein set forth, and other valuable considerations,
30 including the widening of Highway No. 101 through that portion of
31 the City of Newport Beach known as Corona Del Mar, and the payment
32 1 of existing bonds on said property by the Department of Public Wor

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be,
directed, authorized and instructed to exec
