3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
4 City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Agreement of
r
5 Cancellation by and between Darrell W. King as first party, and
6 the city of Newport Beach as second party; and
7 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that that certain
8 exclusive license or franchise to loan and unload passengers from
9 live bait boats to Newport Pier at 22nd Street in the city of
10 Newport Beach, be cancelled and declared of no further force or
11 effect from and after December 31st, 1940; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Coun�icil,,of the city of Newport Beach
13 deems that it is for the beat interests of said city that said
14 franchise or license be cancelle ,tupon the terms and conditions
15 in said agreement specified.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
17 City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
18 directed, authorized and instructed to execute said agreement in
19 the name of and on behalf of the.city of Newport Beach.

22 and regularly passed and adopted.by the City Council of the City
23 of Newpqrt Beach at a ar meeting of the City Council held
