2 WHEREAS, ARTHUR W. FARLING and GLADYS S. FAnLING,
3 husband and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT
4 BEACH, the sum of $1000.00 for Lot 2, Block "D ", Tract 323,
5 Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map
6 recorded in Book 14, pages 40 and 41 of Miscellaneous Maps,
7 records of Orange County, California.
S WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price.,
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $1000.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adeouate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 i sold to the said Arthur W. Farling and Gladys S. Farling, husband
18 and wife, for the sum of $1000.00, free and clear of all
19 encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42,
20 and unpaid improvement assessments of record. Also subject to
21 conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor
22 and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
23 and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon
24 receipt of the consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $250.00 be
26 paid to F. L. Andrews, as and for his commission for the
27 negotiating of the sale of said real property to Arthur W. Farling
28 and Gladys S. Farling, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being
29 a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and
30 said broker being a licensed realtor of the 61ty of Newport Beach.

1 hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
4th day of August, 1941, by the following vote, to —wit:
