A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS AND
DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES FOR THE MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ON TUESDAY, THE 14TH DAY OF APRIL, 1942, AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE POLLS
AND THE COMPENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS.
WHEREAS, it is necessary under the law for the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach to appoint Boards of
Election and to designate the polling places for the municipal
election to be held in the City of Newport Beach on Tuesday, the
14th day of April, 1942, and to fix the compensation to be paid
to election officers; and
WHEREAS, it is also necessary for the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach to fix the hours for the opening and
closing of the polls for the municipal election to be held on
the 14th day of April, 1942.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, that the polling places and the
election officers to act at each polling place shall be as
follows, to -wit:

10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That each of said election
11 officers above designated be paid the sum of $5.00 as full
12 compensation for their services in conducting said municipal
13 election to be held on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1942.
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the polls shall be
15 open at six o'clock A. M. of said day, sn d be kept open continuous
16 until seven o'clock P. M. thereof, men the polls shall be closed.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the voting precincts
18 as established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
Ig shall constitute the voting precincts for the municipal election
20 to be held in the City of Newport Beach on Tuesday, the 14th day
21 of April, 1942, said voting precincts to be numbered One (1) to
22 Ten (10) inclusive, and shall be designated in all proceedings
23 herein as "Precinct".
24 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
25 resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
26 Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof
