WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Conditional Sales
Contract, dated October 4, 1943, by and between D. X. Blue, of
Newport Beach, California, therein referred to as the Seller, and
City of Newport Beach, therein referred to as the Buyer; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the Seller sells to
the Buyer one certain 1942 Hudson 4-door sedan, Model 80 Deluxe,
Motor and Serial No. 20 -1646, for the total sum of $1493.86, with
a trade -in allowance of $750.00 on 1939 Chevrolet sedan, upon the
terms, conditions and for the consideration therein specified; and
NHEREASP it is the opinion and judgment of the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach that it is for the best
interests and advantage of said city that said automobile be
purchased at this time, upon the terms and conditions and for the
consideration above mentioned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is for the best
interests and advantage of the city of Newport Beach that said
city purchase the Hudson Sedan automobile above described upon the
terms and conditions and for the consideration above mentioned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed,
authorized and instructed to execute said contract in the name of
and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the city of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of
October, 1943, by the following vote, to -wit:
