RESOLUTION NO. 5100
VHEREAS, the "Corona Del Mar Civic Association, Inc."
and the citizenry of Corona Del Liar, have, by proper action, in-
vited the State of California through it's "Division of Beaches
and Parks" to purchase certain beach lands in Corona Del Mar for
use as public beach park; and
WHEREAS, the request to the Division of Beaches and
Parks is made with the understanding that any purchase or
acquisition made by the State will be matched by including in the
proposed Park Project beach areas now owned by the City.of Newport
Beach and approximately equal in value; and
C:HEREAS, it is believed this area should be preserved
as nearly as possible intact and without change for the benefit
of generations of Americans who will visit the State, to see and
admire the attractions of the coast and will remain to live and
enjoy them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
lis of the opinion that the acquisition of such a Public Beach Park
would be of inestimable value to the citizens of Orange County.
NOVI, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the project for
the acquisition of said Beach Park be, and is, endorsed by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach and that it respect-
fully requests the Board of Supervisors of Orange County to take
like favorable action.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed, adopted
land approved by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at
a special meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of December, 1944,

AYES, COUNCILMEN, Allen, Stanley, Isbell
Reed and Hall
NOES, COUNCILMEN None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN None
