RESOLUTION N03116__
WHEREAS, by virtue of Traffic Ordinance No. a and
amendments thereto of the City of Newport Beach, the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach is authorized by resolution
(a) to prohibit parking on the public streets of the City of
Beach; (b) to create or eliminate loading zones on the public
streets of the City of Newport Beach; and (c) to create limited
parking zones on the public streets of the City of Newport Beach;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the parking of auto-
mobiles and other vehicles be and the same is hereby absolutely
prohibited on the east side of Main Street between Central Avenue
and the Ocean Front and northerly of the alley in that part of
the City of Newport Beach known as Balboa;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the parking of automobiles
and other vehicles be, and the same is absolutely prohibited on
Main Street in that portion of the City Of Newport Beach known as
Balboa, between Central Avenue and East Bay Avenue;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the loading zone on the
south side of East Bay Avenue east of Main Street be, and the
same is hereby eliminated, and the parking of automobiles and other
vehicles is absolutely prohibited in said apace formerly occupied
by
said loading
zone.
BE IT
FURTHER RESOLVED that
a loading zone feet
in length be, and the same is hereby established on the east side
of Main Street in that portion of the City of Newport Beach known
as Balboa, just northerly of the alley located between Central
Avenue and East Bay Avenue;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a loading zone feet in
length be established, and the same is hereby established at the
north end of Main Street in that part of the City of Newport Beach
known as Balboa, and on the west side thereof;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a fifteen - minute parking zone

be, and the same is hereby established on the south side of East
Bay Avenue immediately east of Main Street in that portion of the
City of Newport Beach known as Balboa, for a distance of one -half
block between Main Street and "A" Street;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the parking of automobiles
and other vehicles be, and the same is hereby prohibited for a dis-
tance of one -half block commencing at "A" Street on the south side
of East Bay Avenue in that portion of the City of Newport Beach
known as Balboa;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of the
City of Newport Beach be, and he is hereby authorized, directed and
instructed to paint and post, in the manner required by law, the
appropriate changes made by this Resolution in reference to the
parking of automobiles and other vehicles in the City of Newport
Beach.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day
of July, 1945, by the following vote, to-wit:
