2 U'iiWAS, there has this day been presented to the City
3 Council of the City of Yewport Beach a certain agreement dated the
4 _Q" day of August, 105, between the City of 'Newport Beach,
5 therein referred to as the "City", and Steuart and Ldgecormb, a
6 co- partnership, therein referred to as the "Contractor "; and
7 :.'YZtisaS, said agreement provides that the City has avardec
8 to the Contractor the contract for the furnishing of all required
9 material, transportation, equipment and services for the dvillin, of
10 a water well in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 8, Tovnship 6 South,
11 Range 10 Vest, S.B.B. & M., for the price set forth in tae Con-
12 tractor's provosal on file in the office of the Cit7 Clerk; and
13 ,,g;;jab, said agreement specifically sets forth the terns
14 conditions and -rice for the doing of said work; and
15 Hi'RWAS, the City Council of the City of fewport Beach
16 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said con -
17 tract be executed and that the work therein specified be done by
1s the Contractor upon the terns and conditions therein specified;
19 ::04, TWOOK, Big K sSOLV D, that the ::ayor and City
20 Clerk of the City of lerpoxt Beach be, and they are hereby directed
21 authorized and instructed to execute said agreement on behalf of A
22 City of ier!port Beach, and that a duly executed copy thereof be

delivered by the City Clerk to the Contractor.
