RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO3 O
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP, VACATION,
AND ABANDONMENT OF PORTIONS OF A CERTAIN
STREET, TO -WIT, OCEAN FRONT, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE °STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941" AND
AMENDMENTS THERETO.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pur-
suant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 194111,
approved May 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and amend-
ments thereto, being Division 99 Part 39 Chapters 2 and 39
Sections 8320 to 8331, inclusive, Streets and Highways Code,
does hereby ordain, resolve, and deolare.as follows:
Section 1: That the public interest and convenience
require the closing up and abandonment of portions of Ocean
Front in the City of Newport Beach, and it is the intention of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the
following described portions of Ocean Front in said City to
be vacated, closed up, and abandoned, to -wit:
Those certain parcels of land, being portions
of Ocean Front, as shown upon a map of Seashore
Colony Tract recorded in Miscellaneous Mape, Book 7,
page 25, Records of Orange County, California,
which said parcels are more particularly described
as follows, to -wit:
Parcel No. 1: Beginning at the most southerly
corner of Lot 1, Block A of said
Seashore Colony Tract; thence, northwesterly
along the northeasterly line of said Ocean Front
to the most westerly corner of Lot 6, Block A
of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence, south-
westerly along the southwesterly prolongation
of the northwesterly line of said Lot 6 to a
point, said point lying in a line parallel with
and distant 10.00 feet measured at right angles
from said northeasterly line of Ocean Front; thence,

southeasterly along said parallel line to its interseotion
with the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly

the northwesterly line of said Lot 6, to a point, said
point lying in a line parallel with and distant 15.00
feet measured at right angles from said northeasterly
line of Ocean Front; thence, southeasterly along said para3-
lel line to its intersection with the southwesterly pro-
longation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 2; thence,
northeasterly along said line of prolongation to the
point of beginning.
Parcel No. 8: Beginning at the most southerly corner of
Lot 19 Block F of said Seashore Colony Tract;
thence, northwesterly along the northeasterly line of said
Ocean Front to the most westerly corner of Lot 3, Block F
of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence, southwesterly
along the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly
line of said Lot 3; to a point, said point lying in a
line parallel with and distant 15.00 feet measured at right
angles from said northeasterly line of Ocean Front; thence,
southeasterly along said parallel line to its intersection
with the.southwasterly prolongation of the southeasterly
line of said Lot 1; thence, northeasterly along said line
of prolongation to the point of beginning.
All portions of said street to be vacated, closed up,
and abandoned, are more clearly shown on a certain map approved
and adopted,by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for
said vacation, closing up and abandonment, by Resolution dated
November 12, 1946, and designated "Resolution No, o ' If

2 street, to said map, and said map is made a part of this Res01u-
3 tion to the same extent. and.purpose as if the same were herein in-
4 corporated in full.
5 Section 2; That the proceedings for the closing up and
6 abandonment of the aforesaid portions of said street shall be had
7 and taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
8 eleots to prooeed under the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act
9 of 1941 ", approved may 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and
10 amendments thereto, being Division 9, Part 3, Chapters 2 and 3,
11 Seotions 8320 to 8331, inclusive, Streets and Highways Code.
12 Seotion.3: The Street Superintendent of the City of New -
13 port Beaoh shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of
14 the portions of the street proposed to be vacated, not more than 30,
15 feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the vacation
16 of said portions of said street. Said notices shall state the
17 passage of this Resolution of Intention and the time and place of
18 the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the pro-
19 posed vacation of said portions of said street, all as required by
20 law.
21 Seotion 4; Notice is hereby given that the City Counoil

26 hearing all persons interested in or objeoting to the proposed vaoa-
27 tion of said portions of said street. And the said City Council at
28 said time and place will hear the evidence offered by any person
29 interested in the vacation of said portions of said street hereto -
30 fore described.
