140.552 dated the 3rd. day of September, 1945.

of the City of I1ewport Coach does hereby :aa'.to the follo^in.-
Amendments to the Classification and Pay Plan and fist and dotormino
that the salarioo of all appointive officials and oluployoos
covered by the follozrin„ classifications, shall be as follows,
effective June 1st, 1947.
Thorn is hereby created the following nev job claosifica
ion and is assigned a salary range as indicatede
Liotorcycle Patrolman (10) 205 - 215- 225 -23G -247
If a vacancy exists in the above classification and it
is desired that ouch vacancy be filled by promotion of a porson
already in the City service, the procedure is outlinodin Section
3 -B 5, Ordinance 552.
In the ovont an omployoo in the City sorvico is trans-
forred to a job with a lover salary range and if tho salary which
the employee is receiving on the offectivo date of tho transfer is
already on a stop of tho ran-o for tho now classification, then
he shall receive the salary indicated in the noxt lower stop in
that ranmo on the effective date of the promotion. If the
employee is receiving a salary on the effective date of transfer
in excess of the highest salary stop of the nov classification he

shall receive thu salary as indicated by the highest stop in the
