WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as and for the

purchase price of said lot; and

WAS. the City Council of the City of Newport Beach deems that it it

for the beet interests of said City that said property be sold for the sum of

1.555.231 and

WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair@ and adequate and is not diem
12
proportionate to the real value of the property above described.

NOW , THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLM: That said property be sold to the said
14
lenry ? Ashley and Leona J Ashley, husband and wife as joint tenants, for the s=
15
f $1.555.23. free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the
16
fiscal year 1948 -49. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations
17
Df record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorised and directed to
18
execute and deliver a deed for the said property to the said parties upon receipt
19
of the consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED$ That the sum of f 155.52 be paid to W.L.Jordan
21
as and for his commission for the negotiating of the sale of said real property to
22
my F Ashley and Leona J Ashley, basband and wife as joint tenants, the said sum
23
being a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
24
being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution was duly and
26
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, at
27
a regular meeting thereof held on the 8th day of March. 1948, by the following
