A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NE'dPORT BEACH APPOIDITIidG ELECTION
OFFICERS AND DESIGYATING POLLING PLACES
FOR THE ',:iUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
THE CITY OF NEI'IPORT BEACH ON ,iOVDAY, THE
17 ^1H DLY OF I.IAY, 1948, AND PROVIDING FOR
THE OPENIING AND CLOSING OF THE POLLS AND
THE C011PENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS.

WHEREAS, it is necessary under the law for the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach to appoint Boards of Election and to
designate the polling places for the municipal election to be held
in the City of Newport Beach on 1,onday, the 17th day of ::;ay, 1948,
and to fix the compensation to be paid to election officers; and
,MREAS, it is also necessary for the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach to fix the hours for the openi.nC and closln,;
of the polls for the municipal election to be held on the 17th day
of May, 1948.
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E I ^1 RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, that the polling places and the election of-
ficers to act at each polling place shall be as follows, to —rrit:

BE IT FURTIM151 RESOLVED. That the voting precincts as es-
tablished by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orance
shall constitute the voting precincts for the municipal election
to be held in the City of Yewport Beach on 2onday, the 17th day
of !.;ay, 1948, said voting precincts to be numbered One (1) to
Thirteen (13) inclusive, and shall be designated in all proceeding;
herein as "Precinct ".
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meetin.r, thereof held on the

Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 3583 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
