GWMCT FOR THE 1WCHK BF.SCRI= IN RESOLUTION
of IhITENTION No. 3617
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California$ having in open session on the 22nd day
of November, 1948, publicly opened, izanined and declared all
sealed proposals or bids for the following work to be done and
improvements to be made in said City, to-wits
The constructions of sanitary aswar mains and
sewage pump stations, together with appurtenant work in connection
with any and all items of improvement hereinabove mentioned, in
Central Avenue at the intersections of "A" Street and Fourteenth
street, all as here particularly described in Resolution of Intention
Flo. 3617, passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on
the 13th day of September,* 1948 and on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City.
For further particulars, reference is herstr made
to said Resolution of Intention No. 3617 and to the plans, profiles
and drawings on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City
of Newport Beach, and to the specifications for the said work hereto-
fore adopted by the said City Council and on file in the office of
the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications herstofore approved by the City Council of said
City are incorporated herein and bade a part hereof, and reference is
hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
the contemplated work and impsove.aent heretofore mentioned was, in
the opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary public
benefit, and the said City Council has made the expenses of said work

Said City Council has determined and declared that.

the rate of five per cent (5%) per annum, shall be issued herwmader
In the scanner provided by the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915", being
Division 10 of the Streets and Hi; hviays Code of the State af' California,
the last installment of which bonds small mature two (2) years from
the second day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and
carried through in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State
of California, designated the "Improvemeat Act of 19110, being
Division VII of the Streets and Highnsys Cods of the State of California.
Said City Council hereby rejects all of the said
proposals or bide, except the next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby
awards the contract for the said work and improvement to the lowest#
regular and responsible bidder,

The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to
cause a NOTICE OF AWARD OF CONTRACT to be published in the manner and
form required by said Code, by tyro inaerticm in the "Newport- Balboa
Press ", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of
Newport Beach, and hereby designated for the purpose by the said
• City Council.
