H"REAs, a municipal election was held and conducted
In the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, 0- 11fornia, on
Tuesday the 8th day of Vebruary, 191+9, upon the question of the
adoption of a chart--r as hereinafter stated and as required by
law; and
WHMIEA5, it appears that notice of s. ^id election was
duly and regularly given; that voting precincts were properly
established; that election officers were a;-pointed and election
su-:;pliee furnished and that in all respects ss.id election was
held and conducted and the votes cast thereat received and
canvaesed and the returns thereof made and declared in time,
form and manner as required by the laws of the Sts.te of Call
governing elections in cities of the sixth class; and
WEEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
net at the Council Chambers of the City Council on Y`onday, the
14th day of February, 1949., at the hour of 7:30 o1cl.ock* P.M. of
said day, to canvass the returns of said election, as a result
of which the City Council of said City finds -zd ?determines that
the number of votes cast, the question voted upon and other
matters required by law to be as hereinafter stated:
