RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 3671
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP, VACATION AND ABANDONMENT
OF A PART OF 32ND STREET IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to
the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", approved May
13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and amendments thereto, being
Division 9, Part 3, Chapters 2 and 3, Sections 8320 and 8331, in-
clusive, Streets and Highways Code, do hereby ordain, resolve, and
declare as follows:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience require
the closing up and abandonment of a part of a street in the City of
Newport Beach, and it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach to order the following described part of a
street in said City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, to be vacated, closed up and abandoned, to wit:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 30, Lancaster's
Addition to Newport Beach, as shown upon a map of said
Tract recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book 5, Page 14, Records
of Orange County, California; thence northerly along the
northerly prolongation of the westerly line of said Lot 30
a distance of (11) eleven feet to the beginning of a curve
concave to the south east, having a radius of (15) fifteen
feet; thence along said curve a distance of 23.56 feet
through a central angle of 900 to a point, said point being
in a line 26 feet measured at right angles northerly of
and parallel to the northerly lines of Lots 30 to 14 in-
clusive of said Tract; thence easterly along said parallel
line to the beginning of a curve concave to the southwest
having a radius of (40) forty feet, said curve also being
tangent to the easterly line of Lot 14 of said Tract;
thence along said curve to an intersection with the northerl
line of said lot 14; thence westerly along the northerly
line of said Lots 14 to 30 inclusive to the point of
beginning.
Said part of said street to be vacated, closed up and aband
Ilis more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the
11 City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said vacation, closing
(I up and abandonment, by Resolution dated February 28, 1949, and des-
ignated "Resolution No. 3670." Reference is hereby made for further
particulars as to the proposed vacation, closing up, and r:5sr._- +lament

of this Resolution to the same extent and purpose as if the same
were herein incorporated in full.
SECTION 2: That the proceedings for the closing up and
abandonment of the aforesaid part of said street shall be had and
taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach elects to
proceed under the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ",
approved May 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and amendments
thereto, being Division 9, page 3, Chapters 2 and 3, Sections 8320
to 8331, inclusive, Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 3: The Street Superintendent of the City of N
Beach shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the
part of said street proposed to be vacated, not more than 300 feet
apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the vacation of
said part of said street. Said notices shall state the passage of
this Resolution of Intention and the time and place of the hearing
of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation
of said part of said street, all as required by law.
SECTION 4: Notice is hereby given that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday, the 11th day of
April, 1949 at the hour of seven - thirty P.M. of said day, in the
Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach, located in the City
Hall in the City of Newport Beach, as the time and place for heari
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of
jsaid part of said street, And the said City Council at said time
and place will hear the evidence offered by an person interested
i the vacation of said part of said street heretofore described.
SECTION 5: This Resolution of Intention shall be published
at least once in Newport- Balboa Press, a newspaper of general
circulation printed, published and circulated in the City of Newpo
Beach, and said publication shall be made before the date set for
the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the propo
vacation.

The above and foregoing Resolution of Intention No. 3671
was passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, held on the 28th day of February, 1949, by the
following vote, to wit:
