RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA,

ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN

RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 3768

The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, Calif-
7
ornia, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911';
8
being Parts 1, 2 and 3, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways
9
Code of the State of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows:

That the public interest and convenience require the
11
work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said

City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and

improvements to be made in said City, to -wit:

The construction of cement concrete sidewalk and curb
15
and appurtenant work in connection therewith, in the Northeasterl}
16
side of Ocean Front between Thirtieth Street and Thirty -sixth
17
Street, all as more particularly described in Resolution of
18i
Intention No. 3768, passed and adopted by the City Council of
19
said City on the 27th day of February, 1950 and on file in the
20
office of the City Clerk of said City.

For further particulars, reference is hereby made to
22
said Resolution of Intention No. 3768 and to the plans, profiles
23
and drawings No. 427, on file in the office of the City Engineer
24
of said City of Newport Beach, and to the specifications for the
25
said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file
26
in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said
27
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore approved
28
by the City Council of said City are incorporated herein and made
29
a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more
30
particular description of said work.

Said City Council has determined and declared that the
32
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in th
opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary publ

1 benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said
• 2 work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description
• 3 of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
4 Intention No. 3768.
51 Said City Council has determined and declared that
6 serial bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per
7 annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the
8 second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th follow -
9I ing their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by
10 the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Division 7 of the
11 Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent
12 each assessment of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) or more, remaining
131 unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant.
14 1 All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
1511 through in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of
16 !California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", Division 7
1711of the Streets and Highways Code.
181 The Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post
1911conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the
20 City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a
21 Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein
22 ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in
23 "Newport- Balboa Press ", a weekly newspaper, published and circulated
24 in said City and hereby designated by the said City Council for
25 that purpose, a Notice Inviting such proposals or bids for doing the
26 said work and referring to the specifications on file.
27 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
28 Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the
29 27 day of March 1950, by the following vote, to -wit:
