1 RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
NO. 3817
2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
3 ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 3808.

5 The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California,
6 pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 ", being
7 Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
8 California, DOES RESOLVE as follows:
9 That the public interest and convenience require the work
10 hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City
11 Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improve -
12 ments to be made in said City, to -wit:
13 The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewers,
14 vitrified clay pipe house connection sewers, vitrified clay pipe
15I lampholes, manholes, sewage pumping station and appurtenant work
16 in connection therewith, in Balboa Boulevard and other streets,

17 county roads and property owned by said City, all as more
18 particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 3808,
19 passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on the 12th
20 day of June, 1950 and on file in the office of the City Clerk of
21 said City.
22 For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said
23 Resolution of Intention No. 3808 and to the plans, profiles and
24 drawings No. 431, consisting of 5 sheets, on file in the office
25 of the City Engineer of said City of Newport Beach, and to the
26 specifications for the said work heretofore adopted by the said
27 City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
28 City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings and specifications
29 heretofore approved by the City Council of said City are
30 incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is
31 hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said
32 work.

Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the
opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary
public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of
said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular
description of said district, reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention No. 3808.
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial
bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum
and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second
day of January next succeeding the next October 15th following
their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the
"Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent each
assessment of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) or more remaining unpaid
for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of
California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", Division 7
of the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post conspicuous
for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City Council,
in the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice Inviting
Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered, and the
City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the "Newport -
Balboa Press:, a weekly newspaper, published and circulated in said
City and hereby designated by said City Council for that purpose,
a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work
and referring to the specifications on file.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 24th
day of July, 1950 by the following vote, to -wit:
