RESOLUTION 110.

2 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has, for a long
3 time prior hereto been deswus of acquiring the following des -
4 Bribed real property for a public park and beach; and
5
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of

6 the citizens of the City, of Newport Beach that said property
7 be acquired and used as s public park and beach; and
8 WHEREAS, said property is owned by Dudley R, Furse
9 and Louise D. Furse, with the Irvine Company and the Citizens
10 National Trust and Savirg a Bank of Los Angeles claiming certain
11 interests therein; and
12 WHEREAS, said Dudley R. Furse and Louise D. Furse have
13 refused to sell said property to the City of Newport Beach at
14 any fair and reasonable price;
15 NOW, THEREF03E0 BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
16 of the City of Newport Beach does hereby find and determine that
17 the public interest and necessity require the acquisition by
18 the City of Newport Beach of the hereinafter described real pro
19 perty_as a public park and beach, and said City Council does
20 further find and determine that said real property is necessary
21 for the creation of said public park and beach;
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an action shall be brought
23 by the City of Newport Beach to acquire said real property by
24 condemnation for use as a public park and beach, and the City
25 Attorney of the City of Newport Beach is hereby authorized and
26 directed to institute proceedings in eminent domain to obtain
27 title to the said real property for such use as a park and beach.
28 The real property referred to herein is described as:
29 Those certain lots lying in the City of Newport Beach, County
30 of Orange, State of California and more particularly described
31 as Lots 5, 6, 9 and 10 in Block "B-33" of "Corona Del Mar", as
32 shown on a map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 end 42 of Kincellanea
