A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF N10PORT BEACH
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN TBANSITE PRESSURE PIPE
RHEREAS, pursuant to a notice inviting bids for the
sale and purchase of certain transite pressure pipe, heretofore
duly given, there were no proposals and bids received on June 23,
1952, the date for the opening of said bids; and
WHEREAS, the matter was referred to the City Engineer
for the securing of figures for the direct purchase of said tran-
site pressure pipe; and
WHEREAS, Johns - Manville Sales Corporation has offered
to sell to the City of Newport Beach 1300 feet of B inch transite
pressure pipe at 02.07 per foot and 1800 feet of 12 inch transite
pressure pipe at 0.76 Per foot; and
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Agreement dated
June 30, 1952, by and between Johns - Manville Sales Corporation
and the City of Newport Beach providing for the purchase and sale
of said transite pressure pipe upon the above mentioned terms and
conditions;
NOWj THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Contr$ct for
the. sale and purchase of said transite pressure pipe, at the
price of $9,459.00, be entered into by the City of Newport Beach;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute
said Agreement in the name of and for and in behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk furnish a duly executed
copy thereof to said Johns - Manville Sales Corporation,
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly and regul-
arly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
