RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 4023
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP,
VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF A STREET DESIGNATED AS
VIA GENOA IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, COUNTY OR ORANGE, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to
the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", and all
amendment thereto, being Section 8300 through 8331 of the streets
and Highways Code, does hereby ordain, resolve and declare as
follows:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience require
the closing up and abandonment of a part of a portion of a street
in the City of Newport Beach, and it is the intention of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the following
described portion of said street in said City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, to be vacated, closed up
and abandoned, to -wit:
All those certain portions of Via Genoa, 100 feet in width,
of Tract No. 907, "Lido Isle ", as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 28, Pages 25 to 36 inclusive, Miscellaneous Maps, Records
or Orange County, California, described as follows, to -wit:
Parcel No. 1.
BeginBegin —ing the most Southerly corner of Lot 934 of said
Tract No. 907, running thence North 29000' East along the North-
westerly line of said Via Genoa, a distance of 410.00 feet to
the beginning of a curve concave to the Southwest, having a
radius of 10.00 feet; thence continuing along the said line of
Via Genoa, and along said curve an arc distance of 15.71 feet,
having a central angle of 900001 to a point in the Southwesterly
line of Via Lido Nord, 45.00 feet in width, of said Tract No. 907
thence South 61000' East along the Southeasterly prolongation of
said Southwesterly line of Via Lido Nord across said Via Genoa,
17.00 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to the Southwest,
having a radious of 10.00 feet;
thence Southeasterly along the last mentioned curve, an arc
distance of 15.71 feet, with a central angle of 90000' to a
oint, said point is distant South 61 00' East, 17.00 feet from
he said Northwesterly line of Via Genoa;
thence South 29000' West, parallel with the said Northwesterly
line of Via Genoa, 410.00 feet to an intersection with the
Southeasterly prolongation of the Southwesterly line of said
Lot 934; thence north 61000' West along the last mentioned
Southeasterly prolongation 17.00 feet to the point of beginning;

egi n ng at the most Westerly corner of Lot 809 of said
Tract No. 907, running thence North 29000' East along the South-
easterly line of said Via Genoa, 410.00 feet to the beginning of
a curve concave to the Southeast, having a radius of 10.00 feet;
thence continuing along said line of Via Genoa, along said
curve, an arc distance of 15.71 feet with a central angle of
90 r 00 to a point in the Southwesteriq line of Via Lido Nord,
45.00' in width, of said Tract No. 907; thence North 61 800' West
along the Northwesterly prolongation of the said Southwesterly
lice of Via Lido Nord across said Via Genoa, 17.00 feet to the
beginning of a curve concave to the Southeast, having a radius
of 10.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along the last mentioned
cur; an arc distance of 15.71 feet, with a central0aule of
90'00' to a point, said point being distant North 61000 West,
17.00 felt from the said Southeasterly line of.Via Genoa; thence
South 29 00' West, parallel with the said Southeasterly line of
Via Genoa, 410.00 feet to an intersection with the Northwesterly
prolongatdion of the Southwesterly line of said Lot 809; thence
South 61 00' East along the last mentioned Northwesterly pro-
longation 17.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Said portion of said street to be vacated, closed up and
abandoned is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for
said vacation, closing up and abandonment, by Resolution dated
December 22, 1952, and designated "Resolution No. 4022 ", which
said Map is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City
of Newport Beach. Reference is hereby made to said map for
further particulars as to the proposed vacation, closing upand
abandonment of said portion of said street, and said map is
made a part of this Resolution to the same extent and purpose as
if the same were herein incorporated in full.
SECTION 2. That the proceedings for the closing up and
abandonment of the aforesaid portion of said street shall be had
and taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of the said "Street
Vacation Act of 1941 ", and all amendments thereto, being Sections
8300 through 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.
SECTION 3: The Street Superintendent of the City of
Newport Beach shall cause to be posted conspicuously along the
line of the portion of said street proposed to be vacated, not.

more than 300 feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices
of the vacation of said portion of said street. Said notices
shall state the preparation of this Resolution of Intention and
the time and place of the hearing of all persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said
street.
SECTION 4: Notice is hereby given that the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday,
the 12th day of January, 1953, at the hour of 7 :30 p.m.
of said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Newport
Beach, located in the City Hall of the City of Newport Beach,
as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street
and the said City Council of the said City of Newport Beach at
said time and place will hear the evidence offered by any person
interested in the vacation of said portion of said street hereto-
fore described.
SECTION 5: This Resolution of Intention shall be pub-
lished at least once in the Newport Harbor Ensign, a newspaper o
general circulation, printed, pub.ished and circulated in the Ci
of Newport Beach, and said publication shall be made prior to th
date set for the hearing of all persons interested in or objecti
to the proposed vacation.
The above and foregoing Resolution of Ictention No. 4023
was duly passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, held on the 22nd day of December, 1952,
by the following vote, to -wit:
