RESOLUTION NO.
1 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
2 Council of the City of Newport.Beach a certain corporation Grant
3 Deed dated the da C

Newport Beach grants and coAveys to the Griffith Company, a cor-
5 porations that certain real property situated in the City of New-
s port Beach$ County of Orange, State of California$ and described
7 as follows, to -wit:
8 That portion of Lot Three of "Tract No. 1117," as shown
9 on a Map recorded in Book 35, page 48 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County$ California' described as follows$

Commencing at the Southeasterly corner of said Lot Three;
11 thence North 00 441 30" West 744.46 feet along the East line of
said Lot Three to the most Southerly corner of land described as
12 Parcel 1 in deed to Griffith Company recorded March 23rd, 1948 in
Book 1741, page 174 of Official Records; thence North 40° 471 07t1
13 West along the Southwesterly line of said land of Griffith Company
a distance of 69.945 feet to the true point of beginning11 thence
14 continuing along said Southwesterly line North 40° 471 O'" West
69.945 Peet to the Easterly line of that certain 20.00 foot alley
15 lying Westerly of and adjoining said Lot Three and as vacated by
Resolution No. 3280 adopted by the City Council of the City of
16 Newport Beach on February 4th, 1946; thence South 04 441 30" East
along the Easterly line of said alley a distance of 53.54 feet;
17 thence North 890 151 30" East 45.00 feet to the true point of
beginning.

and, WHEREAS, the consideration to be received for said

deed from the said Griffith Company, a corporation, is the grantin
20
to the City of Newport Beach, free and clear of all encumbrance,
21
that dertain real property situated in the City of Newport Beach,
22
Orange County, California, and described as follows$

That portion of Lot Three of "Tract No. 1117," as shown
24 on a Map recorded in Book 35, page 48 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California, described as follows:

Commencing at the Southeasterly corner of said Lot Three;
26 thence North 0. 441 30" «est 74.46 feet along the East line of
said Lot Three to the most Southerly corner of.land described as
27 I Parcel 1 in deed to Griffith Company recorded March 23rd, 1948 in
28 j Book 1741 page 274 of Official Records, said point being the
true point of beginning; thence North 409 471 07" West along the
Southwesterly line of said land of Griffith Company, a distance
29 of 69.945 feet; thence North 890 15' 30" East 45.00 feet to the
East line of said Lot Three; thence South 00 441 30" East 53.54
30 feet to the true point of beginning.
31 i and, WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach needs said prop -
32 erty last described for the purpose of improving the access to the

central fire station in the.City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, 6tate of California ; -and
WHEM3, the consideration for said lands first above
described to the City of Newport Beach is in the opinion and
judgment of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach fair,
just and adequate and not disproportionate to its actual market
value; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion and judgment of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach that it is for the best
interests of said City that said land be conveyed by said City to
the Griffith Company, a corporation, for the consideration herein
set forth;
ROW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be authorized, directed and in-
structed to execute said deed for and on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, and that the same be immediately recorded when titl
shall be brought down on the property owned by the Griffith Compan
a corporation, showing the same to be clear and free of all encum-
brances except taxes for the fiscal year 1953 -51+1 not yet due or
payable.

regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
