RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
N0. VJ13
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NL'WFORT BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER TUE CLOSING UP, VACATION AND ABANDUNMTNT
OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY IN BLOCK 1 TRACT N0. 27 IN
THE CITY OF NWORT BEACH COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 194101, and all
amendments thereto, being section 8300 through 8331 of the Street$
and Highways Code, does hereby ordain, resolve and declare as
follows:
SECTION is That the public interest and convenience
require the closing up and abandonment of that certain alley in
Block 10 Tract No. 27 in the City of Newport Beach, and it is the
Intention of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to ord
the following described property in said City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, to be vacated, closed up
and abandoned, to wits
All of that portion of that certain alley 15 feet in
width in Block 1, as shown upon a map of Tract No. 27 Recorded in
Miscellaneous Map Book 9, Page 26, Records of Orange Lunty,
California, described as followsa
Beginning at the most northerly corner
of Lot 21 of said Block 1 thence southwesterly
along the northwesterly lines of Lots 2, 39 and
4 of said Block 1, to the most westerly corner
of said Lot 4, thence northwesterly along the
northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly
line of said Lot 4 to the most southerly corner
of Lot 1 of said Bock 1 thence northeasterly
along the southeasterly line of said Lot 1, to
the most easterly corner thereof; thence south-
easterly along the southeasterly prolongation of
the northeasterly line of said Lot 1, to the
point of beginning.
Said aliejrrto be vacated, closed up and abandoned is
more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said vacation,
closing up and abandonment, by Resolution dated a ,
1953, and designated "Resolution Not q11,:2- ", which said Map is
on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Newport

to the proposed, vacation, closing; up and abandonment of said

alley, and said map is made a part of this Resolution to the same

extent and purpose as if the same were herein incorporated in full

SECTION 2: That the proceedings for the closing up and
6
abandonment of the aforesaid alley shall be had and taker., and
7
the City Council of the City of S+e4port Beach hereby elects to
8
proceed under the provisions of the said "Street Vacation Act
9
of 1541 ", and all amendments thereto, being; �.ections $300 through
10
13331 of the Streets and highways Code of the State of Ca ifornia-

SECTION 3: The &treat ..:urerintendent of the %Uty of
12
Newport Beach shall cause to be posted conspicuously along the
13
line of that certain alley proposed to be vacateds not more than
14
30o feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the
15
vacation of said alley* said notices shall etate the preparation
16
of this Resolution of Intention and toe time and place of the
17
hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
18
vacation of said certain alley.

SECT10H 4: Notice is hereby given that the City Council
20
of the City of Newport Beach doles hereby f the
21
a L day of , 19539 at the hour o 7 :3t P -M,

of said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach,
23
located in the City hall of the City of Newport Boachq as the time
24
and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to
25
the proposed vacation of said alley; and the said City Council
26
of the said City of Newport Beach at said time and place will hear
27

the evidence offered by any person interested in the vacation of
said certain alley heretofore described.

SECTION 5: This Resolution of Intention shall be pub -

fished at least once in the Newport- Balboa Press, a newspaper of
31
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City
32
of Newport Beach, and said publication shall be m=de prior to the

date set for the hearing of all persons interested in or object,"
to the proposed vacation.
The above and foregoing i.esolution of intention No.
1avas duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the
city Council of the City of Nevrort Beach, held on the a7`k day

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4113 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said
City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the
27th day of July 1953 $ by the following
vote, to wit:
