RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
NO. 4148
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 4126.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, Calif
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911 ",
being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the
work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the
said City Council hereby orders the following work to be
done and improvements to be made in said city, to wit:
The grading, paving with plant mix material, construct
of house sewer and water connections, reinforced concrete
pipe and corrugated metal pipe storm drains, catch basins,
outlets and appurtenant work in connection therewith in
certain alleys and easements lying Southwesterly of Coast
Boulevard, between Avocado Avenue and Poppy Avenue (Corona
del Mar), all as more particularly described in Resolution
of Intention No. 4126 passed and adopted by the City Counci
of said city on the 14th day of September, 1953 and on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said city.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to
said Resolution of Intention No. 4126 and to the plans,
profiles and drawings No. 438, consisting of 16 sheets, on
file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of
Newport Beach, and to the specifications for the said work
heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file in he
office of the City Clerk of said city, and all of said plan ,
profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore approved
by the City Council of said city are incorporated herein an
made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto
for a more particular description of said work.

Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in th
opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary publ
benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said
work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description
of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention No. 4126.
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial
bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per
annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the
second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th
following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner pro-
vided by the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Division 7
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to
represent each assessment of twenty -five dollars ($25.00) or more
remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording
the warrant.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State
California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", Division 7
of the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said city is hereby directed to post c
for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City Council
in the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice Inviting
Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered, and t
City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the "Newport -
Balboa Press ", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in sai
city and hereby designated by the said City Council for that pur-
pose, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said
work and referring to the specifications on file.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on
13th day of October, 1953 by the following vote, to wit:
