CALLING GENERAL MDNICIPAL ELECTION

WHEREAS, on the 7th day of January,
1955, the Charter

lof the City of Newport Beach was filed with
the Secretary of
4
State'of the State of California and became
effective as of
5
that date; and
6
WHEREAS, said Charter requires that
an election be,
7 called on the tenth'Tuesday following the adoption of the Charter
8 for.the election of seven (7) councilmen•,
9, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RMOLVED. That a general
10 municipal election is hereby called for the 15th day of March,
11 1955
l2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section
13 1000 of the Charter of the City of Newport Beach, the City
14 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and he is hereby auth-
15 orized and directed to take all.steps necessary for the calling
16 and holding of the said general municipal election.
17 The above and foregoing Resolution No. 4294 was duly
le passed and adopted by the City.Council of the City of Newport
lg Beach at a regular meeting- thereof held on.the 10th day of
20 . January, 1955, by the following roll call vote, to wits
