RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMIL OF THE CITY OF NEWORT BRACH
EXPRESSING THB OPPOSITION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OH
NEWPORT BEACH TO THE FAMOE OF ASSM-SLY BILL NO. 3762.
WMIREASO the City of Newport Beach is the owner of cartain
tide and submerged lands within its corporate boundariea, and
WHEREAS, revenues derived frog such city owned tide and
submerged lands have been Judicially declared to be an integral
part thereof, and
WMMAS, Assembly Bill No. 3762, now pending in the current
session of the legislature, purports to deprive the City of Lung
Beach of the revenue derived from oil production on the tide and
submerged lands within the ooryoratte boundaries of said city, cad
WRNS, Assembly Y3i11 No. 3762, if enacted, slight wAj

be a precedent which could Jeopardize and dimish the rights of the
City of Newport Beach in and to the tide and submerged lends within
its corporate boundaries:
HOW* THMMF ?RE, BE IT RRSOLVRD that the City Council
hereby expresses its opposition to Assembly Rill Rio. 3762 and hers-
by urges the legislature Of the State of California to defeat or
reject the said Assembly Sill No. 3762.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
paused and adopted by the City Council of Newport Beach at a regu-
lar meeting thereof held on the //�-I— daay of April, 1955, by the
