Bs IT RBSOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach
SECTION is That it is the intention or the City
Council or the City of Newport Beach to call a special election
to be held on the e7o�day of 1955 in certain
inhabited territory contiguous to said city, proposed to be
annexed thereto, for the purpose or submitting to the qualified.
electors residing in said territory the question whether or not
said territory shall be annexed to the City of Newport Beach and
the property in the territory subjected to taxation after
annexation equally with property within the City of Newport Beach
to pay the bonded indebtedness of the City of Newport Beach
outstanding or authorized at the date of the first publication or
the notice of election, for the acquisition, construction or
completion of municipal improvements.
Said territory Is described as followar
Beginning at the point in the boundary line or the City
of Newport Heath, said point being the intersection or the
sawtilmosterly prolongation of the southeasterly line or
Tustin Avenue 60 feet in width and the denter line or
15th street, to feet in width, as shown upon a,map or
Newport Heights, recorded in Miscellaneous Maya, book 40
Page 83, Records of orange County, California; thence
northeasterly along the said southeasterly line or Tustin
Avenue to an intersection with the southwesterly line or
16th street, 60 feet in width, as shown-upon said map or

southwesterly 16th Street along southeasterly
prolongation to its intersection with the southeasterly
line or Irvine Avenue, 60 root in width, as shoo upon

Beach, any person owning real property within said territory so
proposed to be annexed and having any objection to the proposed
annexation nosy appear before said City Council and show cause
why such territory should not be so annexed. Such protest moat
be in writing and shall state the name or name of the owner or
owners of the property affected by such annexation mW the
location and area or such property in general terms. If it be
found that a majority protest has not been made as prescribed ins
Section 35121 of the California Government Code, further pro-
ceedings shall be taken in accordance with the law for the
holding Of such Speclel election.
SECTION 41 That the City Clerk shall certify to the
of this resolution and cause the same to be published
