RESOLUTION NO. 4459
WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Elementary School District
is building a new school plant located at the corner of Santa
Ana Avenue at 15th Street in the City of Costa Mesa which bor
on the City of Newport Beach, said school being designated as
Newport Heights Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, the children of the citizens of Newport Beach
will attend said school; and
WHEREAS, the said school will be for the benefit of
the citizens of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Elementary School District
has requested from the City of Newport Beach fire and police
protection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it will be the
policy of the City of Newport Beach to extend fire and police
protection to said Newport Heights Elementary School located at
the corner of Santa Ana Avenue at 15th Street in the City of
Costa Mesa in the event of an emergency.,
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day
of March, 1956, by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Bennett, Wilder, Stoddard,
Higbie, Ridderhof, Hill
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: MacKay
