WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has
heretofore considered the annexation of real property herein re-
ferred to as the "16th Street Annex ", which is hereinafter descri
and
WHEREAS, said real property is in unincorporated territory and
situated in the County of Orange, State of California; and
WHEREAS, the said real property is uninhabited and contiguous
Ito the City of Newport Beach within the meaning of the Annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of the owner
said real property Bind for the citizens of the City of Newport
Beach that said real property be annexed to the City of Newport
Beach;
NOW, THAiMRE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach submit a proposal and map to the County
Boundary Commission of Orange County, State of California, in
`accordance with the Annexation of Uninhabitgd Territory Act of
11939; that the proposal shall request said Boundary Commission
to determine the definiteness and certainty of the boundaries
and other matters affecting the proposed boundaries of the real
property referred to as the `16th Street Annex" and which is
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
as though set out in full herein; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk
lof the City of Newport Beach, be and they are hereby authorized
to execute said proposal on behalf of the City of Newport Beach
to be verified by the said City Clerk and to file same with
said Boundry Commission of said Orange County.
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly passed and
]adopted at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach held on the l2_ day of March, 1956, by the following votes

NESS AND CERTAINTY OF THE BOUNDARIES

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beech
On the `� � day of March, 1956, duly and regularly passed and
adopted Resolution No. X/ o , which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, requesting that this proposal for annexation
be submitted to the County Boundary Commission of Orange County,
State of California, and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute and file same with said Boundary Commission on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the real property, hereinafter described, and
referred to as the "16th Street Annex" is unincorporated territory
and situated in the County of Orange, State of California; and
WHEREAS, the said real property is uninhabited and con-
tiguous to the City of Newport Beaoh within the meaning of the
annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939;
TFMUMRB, the City of Newport Beach, as proponents, in
accordance with the annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of
1939, respectfully request that the County Boundary Commission
determine the definiteness and certainty of the boundaries and
other cutters affecting the proposed boundaries of the real
property set forth on a map attached hereto and made a part
hereof and which is described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made a part hereof as though set out in full herein.
