RESOLUTION NO. 4475
WHEREAS9 pursuant to Notice Inviting Bids for the fur-
nishing and delivering of concrete cylinder pipeq heretofore dul
given, sealed proposals and bids thereof were duly received andq
at the time and place set for such purposeq duly openedq and it
appearing
that
the lowest
and regular and
responsible
bidder is
Southern
Pipe &
Casing Co.
Divisions U. S:
Industries,
Inc.9 a
Delaware corporation; and
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, a certain agreement dated March 29
19569 by and between Southern Pipe & Casing Cc Division, U.S.
Industriesq Inc. and the City of Newport Beach providing for the
furnishing and delivering of said concrete cylinder pipe;
NOW9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said bid of said
Southern Pipe & Casing Co. Divisions U.S. Industriesq Inc. for
furnishing and delivering of concrete cylinder pipe for the sum
of $41,775.90 be accepted, and the same is hereby awarded to
Southern Pipe & Casing Co. Divisions U.S. Industriesq Inc.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED9 that the Mayor and City Clerk bey
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Agreement in the name of and for and on behalf of the City of
Newport Beachq and that the City Clerk furnish -a duly executed
thereof to said Southern Pipe & Casing Co. Divisions U.S. Indust,-
-Inc.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 29th day of
March, 1956, by the following votes to wit:

NOES9 COUNCILMEN: None
