3 WHMRM, pursuant to Notice Inviting Bids for the
4 preparation of 72,855 s9. fts base and the furnishing of 600 tons
5 of plant -mixed surfacing, heretofore dull; 81ven, scalcd proposals
6 and bids thereof were duly received and, at the time zLnd glace
7 set for such purpose,, duly opened, and it appearing that the
8 lowest and regular and responsible bidder is wally -rMler Con -
9 tracting Co., a California corporation, and
10 i.11ERAS, there has been duly presented to the City
11 Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated
12 April 9, 1956, by and betwm Sully- Miller Contracting Co. and
13 the Cit$ of Newport Beach providIng for the preparation of
14 72,355 sq. f't, base and furnishing 600 tons of plant -nixed
15 surfacing;
16 NOW,4 TORE, BE IT RMOLVED that said bid of said
17 Sully-Miller Contracting Co. for the preparation O '(2,855 sq.ft.
18 base and the furnishing of 600 tons of plant,rmlxed surfacing for
19 the sum of $4,084.28 be accepted, and the s.m° is hereby aw4rded
20 to Sully —MMer Contracting Co.; and
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOMVF -D, that the Mayor and the City
22 Clerk be, and they are hereby author -lzed and directed to execute
23 said ASPeement in the name of ad for and on behalf of the City
24 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk furnish a duly
25 I executed copy thereof to said Sully- .•filler Contracting Co..
26 The above and foreSoing resolution was duly and
27 regulurly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
28 Newport Beach at a regular r-eeting thereof held on the 9th tray of
29 April, 1956x by the followinZ vote, to wits
