RESOLUTION NO. 4957
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
A LEASE AND OPTION WITH THE IRVINE COMPANY
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach a proposed lease and option dated
February 28, 1959, by and between The Irvine Company, as lessor,
and the City of Newport Beach, as lessee, wherein The Irvine
Company leases to the City of Newport Beach for park and playgrou
purposes for a period of five years commencing April 1, 1959, and
ending March 31, 1964, certain property in Block 93 of Irvine's
Subdivision, Corona Del Mar, and grants to the City an option to
purchase said property at a price of $10,175.00 in cash; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of the
City of Newport Beach that the lease and option be executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said lease and
18 option on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk
19 is directed to furnish an executed copy thereof to The Irvine
20 Company.
21 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
22 I City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting on the 30th
23 day of March, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
24 AYES, COUNCILMEN: Text, Lorenz, Scmnrs,
25 Kingsley, Atkinson, Hig.bie, Stoddard
26 NOES, COUNCILMEN: None

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and ,maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4957 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
adjourned
said City Council held at the /regular meeting place thereof, on
the 30th day of March , 19599 by the following
vote, to wit:
