RESOLUTION NO. 4986
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING A PORTIOP?
OF A CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS 17TH STREET WHICH IS
PROPOSED TO BE.VACATED, CLOSED UP AND ABANDONED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach
has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a
certain map entitled "Map of Vacation Portion of 17th Street at
the Northeast corner of Lot 3, Tract 1125 ", Drawing No. L -2772,
dated April 14, 1959, showing a portion of said 17th Street in
the City of Newport Beach which the City is considering vacating,
closing up and abandoning and which portion is more particularly
described as follows:
All that portion of 17th Street, 80 feet in
width, as shown upon a map of Tract No. 1125,
recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book 39, Pages 7
and 8, records of Orange County, California,
that lies between the northwesterly line of
Dover Drive, as shown upon a map of Tract No.
1396, recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book 104,
Page 45, records of said Orange County, and
the southwesterly line of Westcliff Drive
(formerly 17th Street), as shown upon a map
of Tract No. 1893, recorded in Miscellaneous
Map.Book 104, Page 48, records of said Orange
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said map be and is
hereby approved and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and
directed to file the same in the proceedings for the abandonment
of said portion of said street.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 27th day of
April, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers,
Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard

ATTEJ ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4986 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 27th day of April , i9 59 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers, Kingsley,
Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABbENTI COUNCILMEN: None
