2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.AUTHORIZING THE
3 EXECUTION OF A RENTAL CONTRACT.WITH OPTION
TO PURCHASE.WITH LOCKWOOD GRADER. CORPORATION

WHEREAS, the City
of
Newport Beach has need
for
a machine
6
that will pick up all types
of
debris from the beaches
in
the City;
7 II and
811 WHEREAS, Lockwood Grader Corporation has such a machine
9 described as a rockpicker which it is willing to rent and extend to
10 the City an option to purchase; and
1111 WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City that a contrac
1211 be entered into with said Lockwood Grader Corporation for the rental
13 of said machine, with an option to purchase the same at any time
14 during the term of said contract;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
16 City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
17 and directed to execute a contract with Lockwood Grader Corporation
18 on behalf of the City of Newport Beach for the rental of said rock -
19 picker for a period of one year, together with an option to purchas
20 the same at any time during that period at the price of $3,500.00,
21 certain credits for rental payments as provided therein.
22 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
23 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 11th day of May,
24 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
25 AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers,
26 Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
27 NOES, COUNCILMEN: None

Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4998 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11th day of May , 19599 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers, Kingsley,
Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
