A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF

A RECREATION AGREEMENT WITH THE NEWPORT HARBOR
•
UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach operates and maintain
6
a program of community recreation of the type coming within the
7
scope and contemplation of Division 12, Chapter 4, Sections 24401-
8
24412, of the Education Code of California, in which The Newport
9
Harbor Union High School District desires to participate in order
10
that children residing within the School District but outside the
11
City of Newport Beach may be permitted to avail themselves of
12
such activities; and
13
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the.'City Council of
14
the City of Newport Beach a recreation agreement between said
15
School District and the City, providing for a program of supervise,
16
recreation to be conducted by the City for a period beginning June
17
15, 1959., and ending August 21, 1959,.open to participation by all
18
children residing within the boundaries of said School District,
19
with said School District paying $4,500 toward the expense thereof
20
and
21 WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and
22 conditions of said agreement and said terms and conditions are
23 reasonable and equitable;
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
25 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement
26 I on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
27 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
28 City,of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 11th day of May
29 1959,,by` the following vote, to wit:

of the City of Newport Beach filed and saaintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5001 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11th day of May , 19 5g by the following
vote, to wit:
