2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING A PETITION TO BE FILED
3 TO EXCLUDE THE CLIFF HAVEN AREA OF THE CITY FROM
NEWPORT HEIGHTS IRRIGATION DISTRICT

5 WHEREAS, the Cliff Haven area of the City was annexed to
6 the City by Ordinance No. 692 in 1953; and
7 WHEREAS, said area is also within the Newport Heights
8 Irrigation District; and
9 WHEREAS, the District and the City have reached an agree -
10 ment whereby the land may be excluded from the District and the
11 service of water to the residents taken over by the City of Newport
12 Beach;
13 NOU, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
14 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and file a
15 petition with the Board of Directors of the Newport Heights
16 Irrigation District to seek the exclusion of the Cliff Haven area
17 of the City from the District.
18 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
19 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 25th day of May,
20i 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

of the City of Newport Beach filed and waintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution Noy 5016 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
