2 A RESOLUTION OF THu CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE ZXECUTION OF
3 A GRANT DEED

5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
6 publicly invited bids for the purchase of surplus City property
7 consisting of-
8 Lot 12, Block 50, River Section, in the City of
Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California as
9 per map, recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 4, page
25, records of Orange County, California,-and a portion
10 of Section 29, Township 6 South, Range 10 West, of the
San Bernardino Meridian, according to an official plat of
11 said land filed in the District Land Office August 4,
1890, and more particularly described as follows, to wit:

Beginning at the westerly corner of said Lot 12;
13 thence northeasterly along the northwesterly line
of said Lot 12 and the northeasterly prolongation
14 of the northwesterly line of said Lot 12 to an
intersection with the line of Ordinary High Tide
15 of the Pacific Ocean in Newport Bay designated as
"SOUTH LINE ", in final decree entered August 22,
16 1928, in Superior Court action 23686, a certified
copy thereof being recorded September 19, 1928,
17 in Book 201, page 253, official records of said
Orange County; thence southeasterly along said
18 "SOUTH LINE" to an intersection with the north-
easterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of
19 the aforesaid Lot 12; thence southwesterly along
said northeasterly prolongation and along the
20 southeasterly line of said Lot 12 to the southerly
corner of said Lot 12; thence northwesterly along
21 the southwesterly line of said Lot 12 to the point
of beginning.

Excepting therefrom the southwesterly 119.00 feet of
23 the above described property;

WHEREAS,
written and
oral bids were received by
the
City

Council on October
13, 1959, at
which time Gerard Wooters
was
the
2711 high bidder for the purchase of said property; and .
0 28 1 WHEREAS, the bid of said high bidder was accepted by the

City and the property ordered sold by the
City Council;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
that the Mayor and City
31 Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
32 deed on behalf of the City of Newport Beach granting the above

described real property to said high bidder or to the person
designated by him in writing.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular.meeting on the 26th day of
October, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
