RESOLUTION N0. 5183
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT TOR THE PURCHASE
OF GASOLINE AND MOTOR OIL FOR CITY VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach requires substantial
quantities of gasoline 'and motor oil for the operation of City-
owned vehicles; and
WHEREAS, it has been found to be advantageous to purchase
the necessary gasoline and motor oil.on a contract basis; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested bids from several
oil companies for supplying the gasoline and motor oil for the yeas
March 1, 1960, through February 28, 1961; and
WHEREAS, Tidewater Oil Company submitted a bid offering
to sell all gasoline required for 20.27¢ per gallon and the
requested grade of motor oil for 45.7¢ per gallon; and
WHEREAS, said company has supplied the City the precedin€
year in a very satisfactory manner;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is
authorized and directed to execute a contract for the purchase of
all gasoline and motor oil needed by the City of Newport Beach
during said coming year from Tidewater Oil Company for the price of
20.27¢ per gallon for gasoline and 45.7¢ per gallon for motor oil.
ADOPTED this 14th day of March, 1960.

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 14th day of March , 19 60, by the following
vote, to wit:

ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Stoddard
