RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR THE
DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS AND DIRECTING THE WORK
OF DEMOLITION TO PROCEED
WHEREAS, the City Council heretofore adopted Resolution
No. 5168 declaring the buildings located on Lots 2 and 3, Block 13,
Balboa Tract, in the City of Newport Beach, designated by street
address as 904 East Balboa Boulevard, 906 East Balboa Boulevard,
905 East Bay Avenue, and 907 East Bay Avenue, to be a nuisance and
unsafe and unfit for human habitation or occupancy, and ordering
the owner thereof to abate said nuisance within thirty days after
a copy of said resolution was posted on said buildings; and
WHEREAS, a copy of said Resolution No. 5168 was posted
on the front and rearof each of such buildings on or about the 26th
day of February, 1960, and more than thirty days have passed since
such posting and the owner thereof has not abated the nuisance or
any part thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Build-
ing and Safety is hereby authorized and directed to abate the
nuisance by razing and removing the buildings, and said Director
is further authorized and directed to execute a contract with 's
licensed contractor to do such work at a cost not to exceed the
amount heretofore appropriated or available for such purpose.

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11th day of April 19 60 , by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard,
Hart, Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
