RESOLUTION NO. 5dd
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF.A
LAND PURCHASE CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach requires additional
land in Balboa for the purpose of constructing additional municipal
facilities; and
WHEREAS, Gladys J. Ray owns certain real property in the
City described as:
Lot 11 in Block 1 of.East Newport, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 3, page 37, of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of-Orange County,
which is adjacent to the City Library and would be useful to the
City to provide such additional facilities, which said property she
is willing to sell to the City at a price of $18,000; and
WHEREAS, a land purchase contract has been presented to
I the City Council for the sale of said land to the City by Gladys J.
Ray, and the City Council has considered the terms and conditions
thereof and found them to be fair and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
'City of Newport Beach that said land purchase contract be approved
and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute
the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized
land directed to record said contract and execute any certificate
necessary to accomplish the recording.

said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
