• 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.AUTHORIZING THE_EXECUTION OF
• 3 AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE IRVINE COMPANY AND
THE CITY OF.NEWPORT BEACH FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
4 OF IMPROVEMENTS IN TRACT NO. 3201

6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
7 the City of Newport Beach an agreement under which The Irvine
8 Company, a West Virginia corporation, subdivider of Tract No. 3201,
9 agrees to construct street and other public improvements within
10 Tract No. 3201; and
11 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the subdivider
12 shall presently file with the City of Newport Beach a surety bond
13 in the amount of $280,000 to assure construction of public improve-
14 ments to serve said tract except street improvements on Quail
15 Street, the dedication of which is not now being accepted; and
16 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that subdivider shall
17 provide a surety bond in the amount of $14,000 to assure construc-
18 tion of street improvements on Quail Street upon its acceptance by
19 the City within twelve months after July 1, 1964;
20 NOW,.THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement betwee
21 The Irvine Company and the City of Newport Beach be-approved and
22 the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
23 execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach at such
24 time as said subdivider files with the City said surety bond in
25 the amount of $280,000 and the same is approved by the City
26 Manager as to sufficiency and the City Attorney.as to form.
27 ADOPTED this 9th day May, 1960.
