A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A DEED
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company, a West Virginia corporation,
has executed a deed granting and conveying to the City of Newport
Beach a proposed water main located in, under and along the parcel
of land hereinafter described, together with a perpetual easement
to reconstruct, repair, maintain and operate the same for the
transportation of water, and the right of access thereto over and
along said parcel of land for said purposes, to wit:

A parcel of land ten (10) feet in width situated
in the County of Orange, State of California, more
particularly described as-follows:
Beginning in a line parallel with and distant
southeasterly 40 feet, measured at right angles,
from the Northwesterly boundary of Block 50 of
Irvine's Subdivision, as per map recorded in Book 1,
page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps of Orange County
California at a point distant thereon North 33 048'15"
East 1279.62 feet from the Southwest line of said
Block, said parallel line being the Southeast line of
Acacia Street, and running thence South 50° Ill 45" East
580.00 feet; thence North 390 48''.15" East 10.00 feet;
thence North 50° 11' 45" West 580.00 feet to above
described parallel line; thence South 39° 48' 15" West
along said parallel line 10.00 feet to the point Gf
beginning.
RESERVING unto the Grantor, its successors and
assigns, the right to connect with and to use said
water "main for the transportation of water to adjacent
lands;
WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept
said deed for such purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said deed be accepted and the City
Clerk is authorized and directed to execute and attach a certific
of acceptance and consent to the recording of said deed in the
County Recorderxs office.
ADOPTED this 23rd day May 1960.
