1 RESOLUTION NO. 5688
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR GRAND
3 CANAL DREDGING, BALBOA. ISLAND

5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of Grand Canal dredging, Balboa Island, in the City of
7 Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and specifications
8 heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 21st day of November,
9 1962, and publicly opened and declared; and
10 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
11 therefor is SHELLMAKER, INC.,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Shellmaker
13 Inc., in the amount of $7,700 be accepted and that the contract for
14 the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Ka.yor and City Clerk are
16 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
17 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
18 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
19 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
20 ADOPTED this 26th day of November, 1962.
