RESOLUTION NO. 5695

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A NO.PARKING AREA

WHEREAS, Section 3272 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code

provides that the City Council may by resolution establish no
6
parking areas and, when appropriate signs or markings are in place,
7
no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in the no parking
8
area so established; and

WHEREAS, the area of Jamboree Road on both sides of the
10
street between Bayside Drive and East Coast Highway is an area
11
where parking should be prohibited in order to facilitate the
12
flow of traffic and eliminate traffic hazards; and
13
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution Not 5687 in
14
which said area of Jamboree Road was referred to as Marine Avenue
15
and parking was prohibited on both sides of said roadway;
16
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 5687
17
is repealed.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that both sides of said portion
19
of Jamboree Road, to wit, between Bayside Drive and East Coast
20
Highway, are hereby designated as a no parking area.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the traffic engineer is
22
authorized and directed to appropriately sign and mark said area
23
to indicate parking is prohibited.

ADOPTED this 10th day of December, 1962.
