2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING.A CONTRACT FOR THE COAST
3 HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS, ORANGE STREET VICINITY
SIGNALS AND WIDENING

WHEREAS, pursuant to
the
Notice Inviting Bids for work
6
consisting of the construction
of Coast Highway improvements,
7
Orange Street vicinity signals
and
widening, in the City of Newport
8
Beach, in accordance with the plans
and specifications heretofore
9
adopted, bids were received on
the
18th day of March, 1964, and
10
publicly opened and declared;
and
11 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
12 therefor is E. D, Johnson and Company;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of E. D.
14 Johnson and Company in the amount of $20,076 be accepted and that
151 the contract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
1611 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon notification of approve
1711 of the agreement and the encroachment permit by the State, the
18 and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a
19 contract in accordance with the specifications, bid and this award
20 on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be
21 directed to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
22 ADOPTED this 23rd day of March, 1964.
