RESOLUTION NO. 6009
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND
SUBMISSION TO THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COM ®.
MISSION OF A NOTICE OF.INTENTION TO ANNEX, AND
THE EXECUTION AND SUBMISSION TO THE ORANGE
COUNTY BOUNDARY COMMISSION OF A PROPOSAL FOR
DETERMINING THE DEFINITENESS AND CERTAINTY OF
THE BOUNDARIES OF, ANNEXATION NO. 56
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
8111 has heretofore considered the annexation of real property herein
9I1 referred to as "Annexation No. 569°, which is hereinafter described;

11 WHEREAS, said real property is in unincorporated terri-
12 tory and situated in the County of Orange, State of California; and
13 WHEREAS, the said real property is uninhabited and con-
14 tiguous to the City of Newport Beach within the meaning of the
15 Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; and
16 WHEREAS2 it appears to be for the best interest of the
17 owner of said real property and the citizens of the City of Newport
18 Beach that said real property be annexed to the City of Newport
19 Beach;
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
21 the City of Newport Beach file with the Local Agency Formation
22 Commission of Orange County, State of California, in accordance with
23 the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a notice of
24 intention to annex real property referred to as 89Annexation No. 56 ",
25 which is described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
26 hereof as though set out in full herein; and
27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
28 of Newport Beach file a proposal and map with the Secretary of the
29 County Boundary Commission of Orange County, State of California, in
30 accordance with the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939;
31 that the proposal request said Boundary Commission to determine the
32 definiteness and certainty of the boundaries and other matters

1 affecting the proposed boundaries of said real property referred t
2 as "Annexation No. 56"; and
3I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of
4 the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby, authorized to
5 execute said notice of intention to annex and said proposal on
6 behalf of the City of Newport Beach and that the City Clerk verify
71 and file the same in accordance herewith.
