2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BZACH APPOINTING AH.ACTING. CITY

51 WHEREAS, F. 'Robert Coop resigned from the office of City
6111 Manager effective December 11, 1964, which created a vacancy in
711 that office; and
811 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Joseph T.
9' Devlin, Public Works Director of the City, to serve as Acting City
10 Manager in addition to his position as Public Works Director until
11 the City Council appoints a new City Manager;
12 NOU3 THEB FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective December
13 11th, 1964, Joseph T. Devlin be and is hereby appointed Acting
14 City Manager in addition to his position as Public Works Director.
15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary of Joseph T. Devli
16 during the time he is serving as acting City Manager as well as
17" Public Works Director shall be $15,500 per fiscal year, payable in
18 monthly, semimonthly, or biweekly installments as is most convenien
19 in the ordinary course of the preparation of the City's payroll.
20 ADOPTED this 14th day of December, 1964.
