RESOLUTION NO. 6141
e A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A-DEED
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company has executed and delivered
to the City of Newport Beach a Deed dated May 7, 1965, granting
to the City, without monetary consideration and upon and subject
° to the conditions therein set forth, the real property.in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
together with the trees, shrubs, landscaping and other improve -
ments thereon, described as follows:

WHEREAS, said conveyance was made and accepted upon and
subject to the conditions that said real property shall be main-
tained and used by the grantee, its successors and assigns, as-a
public park, and that grantee may also use said real property as
a site for the construction and maintenance of a fire station, a
public library, and a community center building for cultural and
recreational purposes in addition to its use as a public park,
and that said real property shall be maintained and used for no
other use or purpose except by and with the consent and approval
of the grantor or its successors and assigns in writing first had
and obtained; and

WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept
said Deed for such purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Deed is
hereby accepted and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to
execute and attach thereto a certificate of acceptance and con-
sent to its recording and to record said document in the County
Recorder's office.
ADOPTED this 10th day of May, 1965.
