1 R SOLUTION NO. 6170
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 NWORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING AREA
4 WHEREAS, Section 3272 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
Is 5 provides that the City Council may by resolution establish no park-
6 ing areas and when appropriate signs or markings are in place, no
7 person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in the no parking area
8 so established; and
9 MIEREAS, the easterly side of 26th Street beteyeen Newport
10 Boulevard and Balboa Boulevard is an area where parking should be
11 prohibited in order to facilitate the flo w of traffic and eliminate
12 traffic hazards;
13 =57, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVER that the easterly side of
14 26th Street between Newport Boulevard and Balboa Boulevard is
15 hereby designated as a no parking area.
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city traffic engineer is
17 authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said area to
1811 indicate parking is prohibited.
19 ADOPTED tilis 28th day Of June 1965.
