7 are parties, 1-as been prepared and submitted to Ahe City Council,
8 which contract provides for the modification of traffic cc- st::ol
9 signal system and 'highway lighting and construction of curbed median
10 channelizatior. on State Highway Route 1 (Pacific Coast highway)
11 at the intersection of Bayside Drive with State Highway Route
12 07 -Ora ®1 1 €.1 (.acific Coast Highway), all within the City of
13 Newport Beach; and
14 ZZMEAS, the contract provides that the City and State
15 would share the cost of said signal system and highway lighting
16 modification and curbed median channelization project as set fond
17 therein; and
18 ciT KE&S, she City Council has reviewed the terms of
19 said contract and determined it to be in the interests of the City
20 and the improvements to be necessary;

22 hereby approves said contract and the Mayor and City Clerk are
23 hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of
24 the City of Nevnort Beach.
